Abiogenesis
Abiogenesis refers to the natural processes by which life developed from non-living matter. Electrochemical reactions played a center role in the development and sustenance of life—as they still do today. In this interactive installation, viewers are confronted with a black monolith depicting primitive lifeforms, elements and landscapes drawn with those electrochemical reactions.

The challenges of working with a legacy of bug-filled technology has been my main obsession. Using self-developed tools, found footage from art history, and technological uchronias, my work engages with topics that explore notions of appropriation, authorship, techno-phobias, digital/organic nature, new media art conservation, and media archeology.
